v2.6.4 — September 2026

New:

• Transfers and card payments can be left out of your totals — tick "Exclude from income and spending totals" on a category (Add or Edit Category, in the new Totals section). Its transactions stay in every list and every balance but no longer inflate income or spending, and show a gray Transfer badge. Nothing changes until you tick the box.
• Twice a Month (Fixed Days) income schedule — pay on the 1st and 15th shows both paydays on the Calendar, counts two paychecks in Runway, and projects the right monthly amount.
• Your home-network address now shows on the Profile page when Home network access is on, beneath the switch, so you no longer need the startup screen to find it.
• New users get getting-started steps in the assistant panel instead of an upgrade prompt — tap "Where do I start?" for the first four steps, each linked to its page. The panel stays open as you move between pages.

Fixed:

• Amount search works again — it returned an error page whenever it found a match (since 2.6.1).
• Financial Health's six-month trend shows real months — the chart repeated your all-time total in every month.
• Payment Day is no longer asked for on twice-a-month income; the field was required and then ignored.
• Income help and Genie guidance corrected — they described a weekly schedule the app has never had.
• The "Session Expiring Soon" warning is removed — it announced a timeout the app does not enforce. How long you stay signed in is unchanged.
• With Home network access on and no App Lock password, the Profile page, the switch-on message and Help now say that anyone on your home WiFi has full access to your data, with a link to App Lock.

Security:

• The Genie chat display is hardened against a crafted link or quote in an answer.
• Several pages that could be opened without a signed-in session — including Backups, Calendar, Financial Health and Manage Tags — now require one.
• A hidden web-demo admin panel that had shipped inside the app since the first release is removed.

Note:

• A newly released installer can trigger a Windows SmartScreen "unrecognized app" warning until Microsoft's reputation for the new file builds up. This is expected — choose More info, then Run anyway.

v2.6.3 — August 2026

New:

• Account filter everywhere you view money — filter any transaction view to a single account, with per-account balances and an Unlabeled bucket for older imports.
• Credit-card imports: the Flip Signs control is back and smarter — SenticMoney detects your statement's direction, pre-ticks the flip for credit-card account types, and when your statement has a debit/credit column, that column decides the sign automatically.
• View All categories now shows the full parent-and-child hierarchy — selecting a parent includes its children in both the list and the totals.

Fixed:

• Import preview marks rows whose dates could not be read, and the format-analysis dialog no longer offers to save a profile that just failed its own date test.
• Show Archived stays available even when a filter returns no results, and your page-size choice now carries across navigation links.
• Dashboard yearly budget progress now matches the Budgets page. If you use a yearly budget, its dashboard figure may increase after upgrading — it now counts the full calendar year.
• Month-end transactions are counted again — a transaction dated the last day of a month was left out of that month and out of the year total. Monthly and yearly figures may rise slightly. Monthly Summary also stops counting transactions you have archived, which moves those figures the other way.
• The Income Statement now leaves out archived transactions, with a Show Archived toggle to bring them back in one click.

Note:

v2.6.2 — August 2026

New:

• Pick up an interrupted PDF import — if the app closes, the tab goes away, or you simply come back the next day after running AI analysis on a statement, the Import page notices it waiting and offers to resume it. No second AI analysis is spent on a file already read, and you can discard it instead.

Fixed:

• PDF imports stop losing your work — after AI analysis reads your PDF, clicking "Upload and Process" no longer sends the whole file a second time. Large statements finish sooner, and the Safari crash that second read could cause is gone with it.
• Empty column mappings no longer blank your fields — a PDF import used to save a blank column mapping under your account name, which emptied your Date, Description and Amount fields the next time you typed that name. PDF imports no longer save one, and any blank mapping already saved is now ignored.
• Mac licenses survive a rename — Macs identified themselves by computer name, so renaming the Mac or upgrading macOS could look like a different machine and stop the license verifying. Macs now use a hardware ID that does not change, and existing Mac licenses move themselves across on first launch with nothing to re-enter.
• Clearer wording about reserves — a reserve counts against its own period when you mark it Done; the period you pick is a planning label, not a transfer. The Genie, the reserve editor and the period page all suggested the money moved. Only the wording changed.

v2.6.1 — July 2026

New:

• Genie reach for new accounts — a brand-new account gets Genie's full 180-day memory window right away, before you have tagged anything, so it has more to work with from day one. Once you start tagging, tagging is what extends the reach.

Fixed:

• No more firewall prompt on first launch — SenticMoney now stays on your own computer by default, so Windows no longer asks whether to allow it through the firewall. To open SenticMoney from your phone or tablet on the same WiFi, turn on Home network access in your Profile and restart the app. Capturing receipts from your phone with the Mobile Capture QR code works either way.
• Smoother PDF imports — fixed a Safari crash on "Upload and Process" caused by Safari's AutoFill, and cleaned up bank-preset handling so AI-extracted PDF imports go through reliably.
• Password recovery is honest — Forgot Password now gives the ordinary "email address not found" response for addresses that cannot be logged into, instead of reporting that a reset was sent.
• Upgrading installs no longer report a false activation in the anonymous usage count.

Known issue:

• Known issue on Mac, versions before 2.6.2: choosing a statement file with the file picker can reload the import page on some setups. This is a separate issue from the AutoFill crash fixed above. In 2.6.2 the import reads the file only once, which removes the cause. On earlier versions, dragging the file onto the upload area works reliably.

v2.6 — July 2026

New:

• Inline Suggestions — when Genie spots a transaction that belongs in a different category or is missing a tag you consistently use, it proposes the change directly in chat. Confirm with one click.
• 10-second undo on any confirmed suggestion in case you change your mind.
• Privacy-first: suggestions only fire when the evidence comes from your own data (notes, tags, established categorization patterns), never from generic merchant assumptions.
• Turn suggestions off anytime from the Insights page when you prefer Genie in answer-only mode.
• Genie now sees a dedicated Annotated Transactions section with a 180-day lookback, so it can find tagged transactions from months ago.
• Faster Vision model — bank-import PDF extraction now runs on Gemini 3.5 Flash.

Fixed:

• Choosing Fast Assistant in Insights settings no longer silently reverts to Standard.

Fixed:

• License status now syncs automatically. Renewals, reactivations, or revocations on the activation server are reflected in the app within 24 hours, no reinstall needed. Stays active during network outages — you're never locked out by a brief connectivity issue.

• Fresh installs now start from a clean slate with no preconfigured demo accounts; creating an account on first launch is the entry path.
• Eye-icon password visibility toggles added to both password fields on the registration form, matching the login form.
