How To Make A Budget With SenticMoney

SenticMoney makes it easy to make a budget — even if you've never built one before. Pick the method that fits how you think about money, then let the app handle the math.

  1. Pick a budgeting method. Zero-based, envelope, 50/30/20, or your own custom approach — SenticMoney supports all of them.
  2. Add your transactions. Import any bank statement (PDF, CSV, OFX, QFX) on the Standard plan, or enter transactions manually for free. No bank login required, ever.
  3. Set category limits. Ask Genie, the built-in AI assistant, to suggest realistic limits based on your actual spending — or set your own.
  4. Track your progress. See where every dollar goes, get budget alerts before you overspend, and carry unspent envelope balances forward to next month.

Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded SenticMoney-Setup-v2.6.4.exe file. If prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click "More info" → "Run anyway".

Follow the Installation Wizard

Choose your installation location and follow the prompts. The installer will set up everything automatically.

Launch SenticMoney

Open SenticMoney from your Start Menu or desktop shortcut. Your browser will open to http://localhost:5007.

You're Already In

No account, no email, no password. SenticMoney opens straight to your dashboard with a free local profile already created. You can add an optional App Lock later from Settings — it locks the app, and your data never leaves your computer either way.
